# Virals: Premier League duo reportedly show interest in Naby Keita

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/18/virals-liverpool-reportedly-keeping-tabs-on-daniel-jebbison/) midfielder [Naby Keita](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/10/noel-whelan-urges-liverpool-to-sell-naby-keita-this-summer/) is reportedly subject to interest from two Premier League clubs and one Spanish giant.

The 26-year-old Guinean has [struggled to have the desired impact](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool/naby-keita-transfer-leipzig-salzburg-b1830491.html) at Anfield since arriving from RB Leipzig and could now be heading out of Merseyside.

According to African football journalist [Sega Diallo](https://twitter.com/segadiallo/status/1394295003179016192), as cited by [The Anfield Talk](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldTalk/status/1394302506398855169), Crystal Palace and Leicester have shown interest in Keita – with a further fondness coming from La Liga table toppers Atletico Madrid.

The Reds’ willingness to listen to offers would be no surprise given the turbulent time suffered by the [38-cap Guinea captain](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/nationalmannschaft/spieler/302215/verein_id/3856) with the club.

Following his [arrival](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/273590-liverpool-agree-deal-to-sign-naby-keita) in 2018 following an agreement a year earlier, Keita has managed just [76 Liverpool appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/302215) – missing [54 matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215) due to either illness or injury in that time.

This season the midfielder [hailed](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/403684-naby-keita-world-class-virgil-van-dijk) as ‘world class’ by teammate Virgil van Dijk has played [16 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdaten/spieler/302215) – earning an average [Sofascore rating of 6.69](https://www.sofascore.com/player/naby-keita/365772) in 10 Premier League outings.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Despite possessing [creative qualities](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/243510/Show/Naby-Keita) that would be highly sought after in the Liverpool midfield, unfortunately for one reason or another Keita’s switch to Liverpool simply [hasn’t worked](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-klopp-naby-keita-future-24019814).

Were sensible offers to be forthcoming this summer, with Jurgen Klopp in need of funds to bolster his [own playing ranks](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team), the hierarchy should seriously consider cutting their losses.

Valued at £34.2million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/marktwertverlauf/spieler/302215)), any sale would go a long way to boosting the coffers for Klopp’s summer spending.
