# Virals: Reporter claims Liverpool target is ‘happy’ at current club

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/19/otd-liverpool-full-back-andy-robertson-made-a-reds-debut/) have once again been linked with a move for Watford winger [Ismaila Sarr](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/18/virals-watford-adamant-liverpool-target-ismaila-sarr-is-not-for-sale/) this summer.

The 23-year-old was at the forefront of speculation in 2020 before the Reds ultimately [signed ex-Wolves ace Diogo Jota](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54214671) at the end of the transfer window.

Now as Jurgen Klopp considers further bolstering the attacking ranks at Anfield, Sarr’s name has come up in [reports](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1478349/Liverpool-Ismaila-Sarr-transfer-latest-update-news-SNT).

However, speaking on the [Transfer Show on Sky Sports (18/08/21 at 5:20 pm)](https://www.skysports.com/football), as cited by Anfield Watch on Twitter, reporter [Dharmesh Sheth](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1428274332527120384?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1428274332527120384%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.anfieldwatch.co.uk%2Fsky-reporter-reveals-the-latest-after-liverpool-were-tipped-to-launch-pl-raid%2F) has claimed that the Senegalese ace is content at Vicarage Road.

Sheth goes on to say it would take ‘silly money’ in order to force a sale of the man [contracted until 2024](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismaila-sarr/profil/spieler/410225) – quoting figures in the region of £80million.

The initial report claimed that Liverpool were ready to make a £40million bid for the [34 times capped](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1478349/Liverpool-Ismaila-Sarr-transfer-latest-update-news-SNT) Senegal man.

Sarr was inspirational last season as the Hornets earned promotion back to the Premier League – scoring [13 and assisting another 10 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismaila-sarr/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/410225) in 39 Championship appearances.

Described as [‘rapid’](https://theathletic.com/1153703/2019/08/23/hes-rapid-i-think-defenders-will-struggle-sadio-mane-on-watfords-new-signing/) by compatriot and Anfield ace Sadio Mane, the flying forward also made a [goalscoring return](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismaila-sarr/leistungsdaten/spieler/410225) to the top flight last weekend against Aston Villa.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £19.8million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismaila-sarr/marktwertverlauf/spieler/410225)), spending the mooted £40million on a player full of potential would be a worthwhile expenditure.

Capable of playing across all three attacking roles, Jurgen Klopp – well versed in the [threat](https://www.premierleague.com/match/46883) Sarr can pose – would undoubtedly love the opportunity to work with the Senegal star.

For now, judging by Sheth’s reckoning it seems as though Liverpool may have to look elsewhere yet again.
