# Virals: Roberto Firmino delivers pointed advertising message

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/04/21/virals-liverpool-fans-adore-trent-alexander-arnold-tweet/) forward has seemingly used an advertising campaign on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CN4y9aJLD0j/) to deliver a pointed message.

The Brazilian number nine has often been [criticised for his lack of direct goal contributions](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-jurgen-klopp-roberto-firmino-ridiculous-b76715.html) as a central striker, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah instead often [grabbing the headlines](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/liverpool-barnes-why-salah-outshone-mane/c1b69127mwil1ny0pld3wm02h).

Reds boss [Jurgen Klopp](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/04/20/jamie-carragher-warns-fsg-of-the-impact-if-klopp-left-amid-european-super-league-news/) is under no illusions as to the importance of the 29-year-old to his side, [hailing the clever superstar](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/417162-klopp-roberto-firmino-plays-12-instruments-in-our-orchestra) as the conductor of the orchestra capable of playing 12 instruments.

Firmino himself has seemingly given a nod towards the detractors with his involvement in an[advertising campaign](https://www.instagram.com/p/CN4y9aJLD0j/) bearing the caption ‘Where some see a scoring striker, I see the possibility of preventing the position’.

Reinventing the position is certainly something that has been credited to the [45-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/leistungsdaten/spieler/131789) star, with work rate, creativity and dropping deep into a false nine role[all characteristics attributed](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/96182/Show/Roberto-Firmino) to Firmino.

Unfortunately the forward has suffered along with his teammates this term, scoring just[six goals in 42 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/leistungsdaten/spieler/131789) in all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

There’s no doubting Firmino has [been of vital importance](https://talksport.com/football/449985/liverpool-firmino-salah-mane-barnes/) to Liverpool’s recent success and without him, Salah and Mane wouldn’t have reached the heights they have.

However, the early signs a changing of the guard could be in motion have been evident this season – with [Diogo Jota disrupting](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9441447/Liverpool-Diogo-Jota-insists-transform-Reds-three-fab-four.html)the regular front three.
