Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has delivered a promising verdict on reported [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/24/virals-trent-alexander-arnold-continues-on-road-to-recovery/) target [Alexander Isak](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/16/liverpool-monitoring-real-sociedad-striker-alexander-isak/).

The 21-year-old has been impressing during Euro 2020 and could be on course for a [quarter-final meeting with England](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/standings/) after a breakthrough season at Real Sociedad.

[Interest](https://www.noticiasdegipuzkoa.eus/reala/2021/06/16/isak-punto-mira-red/1119284.html) has now been forthcoming from the Reds, Arsenal and Chelsea amid [speculation](https://as.com/futbol/2021/06/16/primera/1623870352_907287.html) the young frontman could be ready to make the next step.

During an impromptu [Twitter Q&A](https://twitter.com/RomeluLukaku9/status/1407704404401213441), Inter Milan and Belgium star Lukaku, who has [three goals](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/top-scorer/#/) in the European Championships, had a five-word response when asked about the towering Swede.

Capped on [25 occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/nationalmannschaft/spieler/349066/verein_id/3557) by Sweden, Isak has a reported €70million (£60.2million) release clause.

Despite his fledgeling years, the frontman has become a mainstay for Sociedad and bagged [17 La Liga goals in 34 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/leistungsdaten/spieler/349066) last term.[https://twitter.com/GaryLineker/status/1405895237722050562](https://twitter.com/GaryLineker/status/1405895237722050562)

[Hailed](https://twitter.com/GaryLineker/status/1405895237722050562) as an ‘exceptional talent’ by Gary Lineker following a 1-0 victory over Slovakia, there has certainly been a surge in intrigue this summer.

Signing additional forward options has been [billed by many](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12315927/liverpool-the-summer-transfer-window-and-what-they-need-to-do) as a must during this transfer window.

Valued at £36million and under contract until 2024 at the San Sebastien based club ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/marktwertverlauf/spieler/349066)), Liverpool may be forced to shell out the mooted release clause to make this deal a reality.

Predominantly operating as a [central striker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/349066), Isak would be viewed as a long-term [Roberto Firmino replacement](https://www.90min.com/posts/liverpool-alexander-isak-transfer-roberto-firmino-replacement) as well as providing immediate competition to the Brazilian.

Whether or not the Reds do make a move remains to be seen, however, as Lukaku says, there certainly seems to be a [burgeoning talent](https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-alexander-isaks-incredible-dribble-from-his-own-half-against-slovakia-20210618) on the rise.
