# Virals: Serie A trio ‘probing’ for Liverpool striker Divock Origi

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/23/virals-liverpool-target-antony-harbours-beautiful-epl-ambition/) striker [Divock Origi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/21/opinion-divock-origi-has-golden-opportunity-for-liverpool-swansong/) is reportedly on the radar at a trio of Serie A clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old is [out of contract at the end of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/profil/spieler/148368) and is expected to move on to pastures new regardless of whether a new deal clause can be triggered.

AC Milan Atalanta and Napoli are all believed to be interested in the [lesser-seen](https://www.sofascore.com/player/divock-origi/190399) Belgian international and could make a move at the end of the season.

That’s according to a report from [PiannetaMilan](https://www.pianetamilan.it/calciomercato/news-calciomercato/calciomercato-milan-torna-in-auge-il-nome-di-divock-origi-22-02-2022/), as cited on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/PianetaMilan/status/1496185588927668224).

The report claims that AC boss Stefano Pioli ‘likes’ the [31-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/148368/verein_id/3382) Belgium ace having scored and assisted against the Rossoneri in the UEFA Champions League.

This season Origi has [scored five times and provided two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/leistungsdaten/spieler/148368) overall in 11 fleeting appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Despite a continued [influence](https://www.sofascore.com/player/divock-origi/190399) from the bench, it would appear that the end is nigh for the Belgian on Merseyside.

Liverpool would likely prefer to recoup some funds on the [£10.8million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/148368) ace and therefore a one-year extension prior to a sale would come as no surprise.

Whatever happens, Origi will leave with a [legacy](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/divock-origi-liverpool-cult-hero-22373814) as an Anfield cult hero firmly intact.
