# Virals: Trent Alexander-Arnold issues social media rallying cry

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/04/29/xabi-alonso-omits-liverpool-teammates-from-fantasy-five-a-side-team/) right-back [Trent Alexander-Arnold](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/04/29/michael-thomas-defends-amazing-trent-alexander-arnold/) has issued a rallying cry on social media as the Reds prepare for the final five fixtures of what has been a disappointing season thus far.

Having surrendered their grip on the Premier League title some time ago, Jurgen Klopp’s side now only have a [place in the top-four](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) to play for.

Alexander-Arnold – like the majority of his teammates – has [fallen below the levels](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/liverpool-star-alexander-arnold-admits-his-form-has-dipped/1nkv94hvp9bc81vsqf2th69w6q) of previous campaigns this term.

However, despite [dropping four points](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/match/2020-21/first-team/fixtures-and-results) in the last two games, the 22-year-old hasn’t given up the fight just yet and took to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/TrentAA/status/1387817692506251264) during a walk around one of Liverpool’s numerous parks to encourage others to do the same.

The fight begins on Sunday with a [trip to arch-rivals Manchester United](https://www.premierleague.com/match/59231) where Klopp’s side will hope to put to bed a [wretched recent record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/vergleich/bilanzdetail/verein/985/gegner_id/31) at Old Trafford.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Unfortunately for various reasons, this has been a season to[forget](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-nightmare-season-explained-klopp-19908392) for the Reds – especially following such glorious times.

A combination of no fans, [injuries](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/liverpool-injuries-which-players-are-out-when-will-they/180055299z10c110h1epjsvvad) and general poor form has meant the whole campaign has been somewhat of a nightmare.

Victory at Old Trafford followed by a top-four finish would at least see a positive ending, before hopefully what is a more enjoyable campaign in 2021/22.
