# Virals: Trent Alexander-Arnold reaches Liverpool landmark in style

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/20/mark-lawrenson-backs-liverpool-to-edge-out-epl-rivals-at-anfield/) star Trent Alexander-Arnold reached [50 assists](https://twitter.com/TrentAA/status/1462153507310608387?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) when setting up the opening goal against Arsenal on Saturday (November 20).

The 23-year-old found the head of Sadio Mane with typical [pinpoint accuracy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaMLmgWYrbo) from a free-kick to nod the Reds into a deserved lead in the 39th minute.

Not content with the one assist on the night, Alexander-Arnold was involved in the [fourth and final goal](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/nov/20/liverpool-arsenal-premier-league-match-report) as the marauding Scouse full-back found an unmarked Takumi Minamino at the back post.

Those involvements and the clean sheet saw the ace named [Man of the Match](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1462154315108335625?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) – as voted by supporters.

The assists took Alexander-Arnold’s tally to [nine for this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trent-alexander-arnold/leistungsdaten/spieler/314353) across all competitions.

On what was a near-perfect night for Jurgen Klopp’s side, there was one moment of concern as despite playing on after picking up a knock, Diogo Jota [headed straight to the dressing room](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/diogo-jota-liverpool-injury-klopp-22228165) after being replaced.

Experts on the suject [InjuryMechanisms](https://twitter.com/IMechanisms) took to Twitter to speculate on the possible extent of the damage suffered.

> ▪️Hope for: Knee or Quad contusion w/ quick return\

Liverpool can ill-afford many more [absentees](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-injury-round-up-latest-25499547) as Divock Origi, Naby Keita, James Milner, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Roberto Firmino all remain sidelined.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Absolutely outstanding once again from the West Derby-born sensation.

Rarely have we seen such an [instrumental](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trent-alexander-arnold/erfolge/spieler/314353) footballer, certainly from right-back.

Valued at £67.5million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trent-alexander-arnold/marktwertverlauf/spieler/314353)), the academy graduate has reinvented the role and looks to have plenty more to offer yet.

As for Jota, Kopites will have everything crossed it was merely precautionary and a midweek rest against FC Porto is more than plausible having already [won the UEFA Champions League group](https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/news/soccer/liverpool-2-0-atletico-madrid-reds-win-group-after-fourth-consecutive-group-stage-win/1cusnfcjf51o014o2vge4dquoj).
