# Virals: Tweet highlights exciting list of soon to be out of contract stars

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/22/virals-bizarre-naby-keita-injury-mars-perfect-carabao-cup-night/) are never far from transfer speculation and the recent summer transfer window was no exception.

Despite the extensive list of links, the Reds remained [relatively inactive](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/transfers/verein/31) and instead opted to free up room in their squad by offloading fringe players.

Only centre-back [Ibrahima Konate was added](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/435628-liverpool-agree-deal-to-sign-ibrahima-konate-from-rb-leipzig) to Jurgen Klopp’s first-team as the German sets about pursuing major honours once again.

That could all change in January however, as Harvey Elliott’s [long-term absence](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/harvey-elliott-reaction-liverpool-injury-21619706) takes its toll as well as the rigours of the season and an impending African Cup of Nations.

Also, the new year could bring about new opportunities as highlighted by a [Tweet](https://twitter.com/DHardayal/status/1440302302439489544) from Dinesh Kumar.

From the list, Pedri, Kylian Mbappe, [Franck Kessie](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/20/virals-liverpool-target-franck-kessie-in-continuous-contract-negotiation/), Paulo Dybala and Ousmane Dembele have all been linked with a move to Anfield previously.

Whilst many could yet extend deals at their current clubs and Mbappe looks somewhat [destined for Real Madrid](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/aug/31/real-madrid-fail-with-200m-kylian-mbappe-bid-but-sign-camavinga), Liverpool would surely be monitoring many of the situations.

Lorenzo Pellegrini and Fabio Vieira were also [linked](https://www.90min.com/posts/lorenzo-pellegrini-resist-liverpool-barcelona-interest) with Klopp’s side over the summer, with the latter [reportedly](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-target-set-agree-contract-extension-price-transfer-going-process/) struggling to reach an agreement at FC Porto.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

This market must surely be one of extreme interest to the club.

Signing players of the quality of those listed for free, albeit many with eye-watering [wage demands](https://fcbarcelonalatestnews.com/fc-barcelona-players-wages/) would be a huge coup.

Although Mbappe would be top of many Kopites’ wishlist, in truth landing almost any of the [soon to be free agents](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/endendevertraege) would bolster Klopp’s squad immensely.
