# Virals: Tweets highlight Liverpool’s star performers on stunning UCL night

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/04/pundit-in-awe-of-trent-alexander-arnold-display-against-atletico-madrid/) manager [Jurgen Klopp](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/04/jurgen-klopp-provides-multiple-injury-updates-on-nearly-perfect-night/) would’ve been delighted to see his side qualify from UEFA Champions League Group B with two games to spare.

The Reds were at their dominant best at Anfield as [two goals inside the opening 25 minutes](https://www.bt.com/sport/watch/video/clips/2021/november/highlights-liverpool-2-0-atletico-madrid) saw Klopp’s men take complete control.

On a night when Liverpool were simply too much for Atletico Madrid to handle, Twitter account [The Anfield Buzz](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldBuzz/status/1456017953531387907) highlighted the pick of the performers.

Deputising in the midfield amidst a host of injuries, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain shrugged off a [difficult outing against Brighton & Hove Albion](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-klopp-injuries-oxlade-chamberlain-25337443) to drive the Reds forward on multiple occasions.

> 📊 | Oxlade-Chamberlain vs Atlético Madrid:\
> \
> 73 touches\
> 87\.9% passing accuracy\
> 2 interceptions\
> 3/3 tackles won (100%)\
> 7/9 long balls completed\

Described as ‘fabulous’ by Rio Ferdinand on [BT Sport](https://www.bt.com/sport), Trent Alexander-Arnold was also in line for recognition.

Lastly, albeit a cameo performance, the back to fitness Thiago had time to show Kopites [just what they had been missing](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldBuzz/status/1456023709525893124) in the Spaniard’s absence.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

What a night and what a European campaign so far.

Qualification with two matchday’s left allows [Klopp unexpected flexibility](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/standings/) and the German will likely field heavily rotated sides for the final two fixtures.

In truth, Liverpool were superior all over the pitch as the [reigning La Liga champions](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/atletico-real-madrid-la-liga-title-suarez-b1852156.html) struggled to contain the hosts at any stage.
