# Virals: Twitter poll gives verdict on ideal winger signing this summer

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/28/virals-southampton-in-regular-contact-over-takumi-minamino-transfer/) fans have been clamouring for transfers since day dot of the summer window in order to fight for major honours once again next season.

Despite retaining a majority of the all-conquering side of 2019/20, as well as adding Thiago and Diogo Jota, [injuries to key players](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-injuries-premier-league-rivals-20562795) meant the Reds struggled to get going last term.

Having already [confirmed the arrival](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/435628-liverpool-agree-deal-to-sign-ibrahima-konate-from-rb-leipzig) of French central defender Ibrahima Konate, many are eagerly awaiting a midfield and forward to follow through the Anfield doors.

Linked with a plethora of names for both roles, [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1409140252745289737) on Twitter narrowed down the attacking search to just two targets and gave fans the opportunity to state their preference.

Leeds United star [Raphinha](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/09/liverpool-leading-race-raphinha/) ran out a relatively comfortable winner over Bayern Munich ace Kingsley Coman – both of whom options that would provide [cover across the frontline](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300447/Show/Raphinha).

The 24-year-old Brazilian enjoyed a superb debut season in the Premier League, scoring [six and assisting another nine goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raphinha/leistungsdaten/spieler/411295) in 30 outings.

Meanwhile, serial winner Coman netted [five goals and registered 12 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdaten/spieler/243714) in the Bundesliga – whilst the 25-year-old added [another league title](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/erfolge/spieler/243714) to a glittering career.

Signing either would be a huge boost to the [options](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) Klopp has at his disposal.

However, with just over a [£20million market value discrepancy](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/vergleich/spielervergleich/statistik/def/spieler/411295&243714) between the pair and Coman’s [less than impressive](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/verletzungen/spieler/243714) injury record, Raphinha is right to be installed as the preferred choice.

Although both players would represent large outlays, the Brazilian is likely to be the [more attainable](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/klopp-sanctions-liverpool-sale-of-marko-grujic) of the two and judging by the Kopites’ verdict, the more desirable arrival.

Moreover, during France’s [shock exit from Euro 2020](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51198549) on Monday night, Coman was forced off with an injury – a sight all too familiar to scarred Liverpool fans.
