# West Ham to battle for Liverpool’s Clyne this summer

West Ham United are interested in signing Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne this summer, according to a report on [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/west-ham-set-to-battle-bournemouth-for-permanent-clyne-deal/13y84neka71ik1bzbngotto5ft).

The right-back is currently on loan with Bournemouth, who are also interested in signing him on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

The form of Trent Alexander-Arnold for Liverpool means that Clyne will be unlikely to get back into the starting lineup and as such, The Reds are prepared to let Clyne leave in the summer and are hoping to get around £15m for him.

The 28-year-old is reportedly enjoying his spell with Bournemouth and has developed a strong bond with manager Eddie Howe.

However, with West Ham looking to push for a top six finish next season, Clyne could be lured to the London Stadium.

Manuel Pellegrini is determined to replace veteran full-back Pablo Zabaleta and he has identified Clyne as the perfect man to come in.
