Liverpool interested in PSG duo

L’Equipe are reporting that Liverpool are interested in signing a pair of youngsters from Paris Saint-Germain.

They claim that the Reds are keen on 17-year-old Christopher Nkunku and 18-year-old Lamine Ba.

The French news outlet are saying that a Reds scout was in the stands during PSG’s UEFA Youth League victory over Real Madrid.

In that match, Nkunku got himself a brace – a performance sure to impress those watching.

Lamine Ba made his first ever appearance for PSG in that game, after signing for them from Guingamp in July.

Nkunku has made seven appearances for PSG’s Under-19 side, scoring three goals. Both players are yet to receive an international call-up at any level.

Nkunku can play as a central midfielder, or as a right-winger. Ba plays as a centre-back.

PSG sit top of their Youth League group, which includes Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and Malmo. They have won two and drawn one of their matches played so far this campaign.

Last year, they were defeated in the group stages, pipped to qualification by Barcelona and Ajax.
