Pre-season is over.
The league is starting in less than a week and all the Liverpool players have done everything they can to justify game time away at Arsenal.
With a total of 9 pre-season games played, there have been some mixed results overall – particularly winning AND losing 4-0 in the same weekend, so it’s not to judge exactly what kind of Liverpool we’ll see when the season starts.
With double and triple training sessions in between games, the performances of players have been up and down as they’ve pushed their bodies to the limits to get ready for August 14th.
Typically it’s unfair to label a player based on pre-season, but from my perspective I believe we’ve seen some insight into which players have made a case to feature more, and which players haven’t done enough to knock on the door of the first team.
