At long last, it’s over!
After long and arduous months of speculation and nonsensical rumors, the summer transfer window is finally closed.
Jurgen Klopp, along with the 19 other Premier League managers, have had since the 1st of June to strengthen their squads for the new season, some have succeeded and some ultimately underwhelmed.
With all the excitement and drama of deadline day yesterday, Liverpool remained very quiet in terms of signings. Klopp seems happy with who he brought in early on, though quite a few fans disagree, and showed no real interest in any last minute deals.
When you look at it from that point of view, you could say we’ve had a fairly productive transfer window. However there’s still a feeling that we are lacking one or two key areas across the pitch – if you’ve watched Liverpool at all in the past five years, you’ll know what I am talking about.
