Huddersfield Town are reportedly interested in taking Joe Gomez on loan whilst he continues his recovery from long-term injury.

Huddersfield boss, David Wagner, worked with Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund and they’re both good friends. This link could help any potential move. Danny Ward is of course already on loan at the Yorkshire club and is receiving regular game time as a result.
Any move for Gomez would only happen once he is fully fit, but he has begun training again with the squad as of this week.
The 19-year-old suffered a cruciate knee injury playing for England U21s against Kazakhstan last October and then, whilst preparing for this season, he picked up an achilles problem.
The youngster moved from Charlton to Liverpool in the summer of 2015 and made an ultra impressive start to his career under Brendan Rodgers. Since Klopp’s arrival, however, Gomez hasn’t had any first team minutes.
Huddersfield have mimicked Liverpool’s good start to the season, sitting fourth after 13 games, and Gomez would certainly aid their promotion challenge.
