Liverpool have splashed just shy of £100 million on Saints stars in recent years, many of whom have now become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
In the 2014 transfer window, the Reds snapped up Merseysider Rickie Lambert, playmaker Adam Lallana and the impressive Dejan Lovren for a combined fee of around £50 million.
A year later, they added Nathaniel Clyne, one of the league’s most consistent performers, to their ranks for £12.5 million before the £35 million addition of the electric Sadio Mane last summer.
