Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, will be available for loan in January, according to his agent.
The young Brazilian, dubbed the ‘next Neymar’ by the media, joined Inter in the summer after netting more than 50 goals in four seasons with boyhood club Santos.
The 20-year old, however, has found first-team opportunities hard to come by thus far, making just two appearances, and is already set for a temporary switch away from the San Siro.
“In Italy, coaches prefer older, more mature players,” Gabriel’s agent Wagner Ribeiro told ESPN Brazil. “I thought they could give Gabriel a chance, but nothing of the sort has happened.
“Obviously, he’s now going through a natural maturing process. He grew up in a different culture, football here is faster, but he thought he was coming to Italy to play.”

Ribeiro, though, expects his client to move to a “smaller Italian or Spanish team” rather than the Premier League.
Nonetheless, a move would make sense for the Reds given Danny Ings’ lengthy spell on the sidelines, Daniel Sturridge’s ongoing struggles with injury and Sadio Mane’s AFCON duties.
The Reds have already been linked with a host of players as they look to boost their title chances, with Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk and Atletic Bilbao winger Inaki Williams among those mooted as potential additions.
