Liverpool enter the new year six points off the top after beating Pep Guardiola’s men 1-0 and are now 17 games unbeaten in the league at Anfield.
Was it a difficult match to endure?
Yes.
Do we care?
Hell no!
In a game that lacked real quality, it was Georginio Wijnaldum who produced a thumping header to give the Reds an early lead in this high stakes contest – a real counter-attacking goal.
It was the perfect start but City quickly got up to speed in the second half and virtually had all the possession. It was tough to sit through but the three points at the end are all that matters.
43 points, the most we’ve ever had at this stage of the campaign, 46 goals and a world class manager at the helm.
The Reds are boss, aren’t they?
