Italian champions Juventus have identified Liverpool midfielder Emre Can as a natural replacement for Paul Pogba.
Reports emerging from Italian outlet, Calciomercato, state that Massimo Allergi is in the market for two central midfielders with the club still adapting to life after Pogba.
The Frenchman joined Manchester United in the summer for a world-record fee and has left a huge hole in the club’s midfield.
They have already added to their squad this window, signing Tomas Rubicon from Genoa and have also been linked with a move for former Stoke midfielder, Steven N’Zonzi.
The German midfielder is thought to be one of several targets that the club are looking into.
Can has been in and out of Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, making his just nine starts, but has managed to scored three goals in those appearances.
The German international joined Liverpool in 2014 from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and has previously been a regular fixture in the squad.
He has just 18 months left on his contract with the Reds, so Liverpool need to get him tied down soon or they risk losing him.
