Liverpool looked to be close to securing a scrappy win against a weaker team but the same problems occurred with the Reds yet again shooting themselves in the foot, giving away another cheap goal to a resilient Bournemouth side.
The points were shared with the score being 2-2 at Anfield on a night that showed that Jurgen Klopp still has work to do to make this team title-challengers.
With no Sadio Mané, Adam Lallana or Jordan Henderson available and Joel Matip only fit enough for the bench, it was going to be a struggle and it proved so on the night.
The first goal was literally put on a plate for the Cherries and the Reds found themselves 1-0 down before the game even really got going. Phillipe Coutinho managed to bring it level before half-time and Divock Origi took his header well to make it 2-1.
The game looked done and dusted, but a long throw-in got the best of the Liverpool backline and evened the score.
Not a great night at Anfield and not a lot of great performances either.
