This summer will be absolutely huge for Liverpool. Getting top four this season would not only bring Champions League nights back to Anfield but it should also see Liverpool being able to target top players in the summer transfer window.
If Liverpool do play Champions League football next season, it is essential that they get everything perfect in the summer. The current squad lacks the depth and quality to compete in four competitions.
It is simply too thin right now and this issue must be addressed. Having to call upon players like Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander-Arnold in games because you have no other options shouldn’t happen.
If Sadio Mané or Adam Lallana get injured, we shouldn’t go into meltdown because there isn’t anyone to replace them.
Goalkeeper, centre back, left back, centre midfield, winger and striker are all positions Liverpool need to improve this summer and there are plenty of players to purchase that will improve the squad.
