Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has returned to training ahead of Monday’s trip to Watford, while Daniel Sturridge is also back in contention.
Lallana has been sidelined for more than a month after picking up a thigh injury on international duty, but his return represents a significant boost for the Reds as they look to secure a top-four finish.
The Englishman has been one of the team’s star performers this term, notching seven goals and seven assists in his finest season yet in a red shirt.
Sturridge, meanwhile, could feature at Vicarage Road after missing the defeat to Crystal Palace with a hip injury.
His latest setback prompted speculation that he had played his last game for Liverpool amid rumours of a summer exit, but the 27-year old has since recovered.
Captain Jordan Henderson, though, will miss out once again, with the chances of a return before the end of the season looking increasingly slim.
“Adam is back in team training today for the first time, which is very, very good news,” he confirmed. “Hendo is not on the pitch so far and there’s nothing new to say about [him]. Daniel is in team training again today too, and that’s good.

“Now we have to train with the boys to see how they are, what shape they are in and then see what we can do with them.”
Klopp was also asked about the injury Mamadou Sakho, currently on loan at Crystal Palace, picked up in midweek.
It is understood that the Reds intend to sell the Frenchman in the summer provided their £30 million asking price is met.
A long-term injury could have scuppered any such move, but Klopp has revealed that the defender did not sustain any ligament damage.
“First of all, I think you saw the pictures with Mamadou, it looked really awful so it could have been nearly everything,” he said.
“Since we got the images from Crystal Palace, we know there are no ligaments involved, so in a situation like this – and maybe not for Crystal Palace – but for the player, it’s the best thing he could get.
“I think he is out for a few weeks, but that is something that will be good at the end, but at the end of the season each injury is a big blow because there is not a lot of time to recover.”
