Liverpool are still adamant that Philippe Coutinho is not for sale at any price come the January transfer window but that’s not expected to deter Barcelona from trying once again.
The La Liga giants failed with multiple summer bids for Coutinho in excess of £118m as the Reds stood firm on their not for sale stance.
Coutinho is committed to Liverpool for the time being despite expressing his desire in the summer to leave for Barcelona, and it has been suggested that the Reds could take a player from Barcelona as part of the deal.

According to Don Balon, Liverpool are wary of future offers from Barcelona and are said to be considering asking for one of three players in return as part of the blockbuster transfer.
As they’d be losing a big part of their midfield, Liverpool are said to want one of Ivan Rakitic, Andre Gomes or Carles Alena to come to Anfield should Coutinho leave for the Nou Camp.
Liverpool have a wealth of midfield options at their disposal currently, but bringing one of the aforementioned players in would be an easier task than signing one of Barcelona’s top defenders to solve their own rearguard issues.
