Liverpool were left frustrated by Everton at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, as they slumped to a 1-1 draw.
Jurgen Klopp sprung a few surprises with his team selection but saw his side dominate proceedings. Their early dominance was rewarded, with Mohamed Salah curling in a sublime goal to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead.
However, Dejan Lovren gave away a needless penalty against Dominic Calvert-Lewin late on. Wayne Rooney duly dispatched the spot kick, meaning the spoils were shared.
Here are our Liverpool player ratings.
Simon Mignolet – 6
Didn’t have a lot to do but was solid enough dealing with a few long balls from Everton.
Joe Gomez – 9
Probably his best performance as a Liverpool player. Defended excellently and used the ball well.

Dejan Lovren – 4
He actually looked comfortable all game and whilst the penalty was very soft, he gave the referee a decision to make by putting his hands on Calvert-Lewin.
Ragnar Klavan – 7
Won plenty of headers as Everton hoofed it to Calvert-Lewin. Never really looked in any trouble.
Andy Robertson – 6
Was very direct when he got the ball and put in a few decent crosses.
Jordan Henderson – 5
Did well in terms of pressuring Everton to get the ball back but he was very slow on the ball.
James Milner – 5
Similar to Henderson. Worked hard but just lacks that ability to pick a vital forward pass.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6
Looked cool and composed on the ball and was happy to battle.
Sadio Mane – 5
Not a great game from Mane. Had to square the ball at 1-0 and if he does, it’s 2-0 and game over.
Mo Salah – 9
Everton couldn’t really get near him and he scored a wonderful goal. Was odd that he was taken off when he was.
Dominic Solanke – 7
Worked hard and led the press well. Showed some few nice touches with his back to goal. He’s still raw but there’s something to work with there for sure.
