Reds fortunate to be getting Keita, according to Mane

Liverpool will be getting the services of Naby Keita next summer and current Reds forward Sadio Mane is looking forward to him coming to the club, Goal reports.

Liverpool completed the signing of the RB Leipzig midfielder Keita for £48 million last summer, although the official transfer wont process until this summer.

The fee is set to be a record transfer for the Reds and the addition of Keita looks to be with a view of him playing a key role in their long-term plans in midfield.

Mane spoke about the player coming in ahead of next season.

He’s a friend for me. Even not a friend, he’s like a brother. Because we keep in touch all the time, talking. He asks me ‘how is the club?’ and I tell him ‘unbelievable’.

He knows the team and the club, and he knows how Liverpool is. We’re lucky to have him. He’s an unbelievable player.

His talents are clear for all to see, although he has been a bit of a hot-head this season as he has picked up two red cards in the Bundesliga.

He made a breakthrough last season after helping his side to qualify for the Champions League, just behind Bayern Munich in the German top tier.

The move will be completed on the 1st July 2018 and Keita will then get a whole pre-season under his belt.

Mane also spoke about what fans can expect upon Keita’s arrival.

You will see!

He is, however, hoping to strike up a productive professional relationship with a player he has previously spent time with at Red Bull Salzburg.

It just came normally because we speak the same language and we’re close neighbours, Guinea and Senegal. We were so close.
