Liverpool have come to the realisation that Emre Can will likely be leaving the club at the end of the season, with Juventus the destination if reports are to be believed.
Jurgen Klopp is eager to sort out a replacement for the Germany international and according to Premium Sport in Italy, the Reds have already held talks with Serie A side Roma regarding a transfer for Kevin Strootman.
The Netherlands international captain has been a Premier League target for some years, with Manchester United strongly linked when Louis van Gaal was manager, but the 27-year-old has stayed put in Italy.

Back-to-back knee injuries in the 2014/15 and 15/16 seasons derailed the former PSV standout’s progress but he’s rediscovered his best form in the last 18 months.
Liverpool are yet to make an official offer for the midfielder but it’s believed that Roma would sell if the right offer came in, but the Reds will only press ahead with a January move should Can join Juventus this month.
An issue regarding this deal is that Strootman would not be eligible for the Champions League and Liverpool, who hope to go deep into the competition, need as strong a squad as possible after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142m.
