Liverpool are reluctant to sell or loan out Danny Ings this January transfer window as Daniel Sturridge looks ever more likely to leave Anfield, according to The Telegraph.
This is because Jurgen Klopp wants cover for his attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino, but Sturridge wants minutes to try and be a part of England’s squad for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Inter Milan look most likely to capture Sturridge’s signature, probably on a loan move, but Sevilla are also interested in bringing the 28-year-old to Spain.
Premier League clubs have been interested in bringing Danny Ings on loan for the remainder of this season, with West Bromwich Albion being heavily linked to the former Burnley man, looking to give him minutes which is just what he has needed.

In addition to cover for Liverpool’s attacking trio is the youngster Dominic Solanke and Welsh wonderkid Ben Woodburn, as well as 17-year-old Rhian Brewster showing he has the potential to fight for a spot.
Ings has suffered two very serious knee injuries since arriving on Merseyside, drastically reducing his amount of football action. His last goal for Liverpool was in a 1-1 Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, Brendan Rodgers’ last Liverpool game.
So, if Sturridge is to leave Liverpool after his many years of service, it may be that Danny Ings rises higher up the pecking order. The Anfield faithful may well be seeing him scoring more regularly and fighting for a spot in the starting XI.
