Liverpool are going to address the goalkeeper position in the summer with neither Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet particularly impressing in recent seasons.
Mignolet especially has spoken out about his future at the club having been dropped for his German counterpart of late, leaving Jurgen Klopp with little option but to dive into the transfer market in the summer to find a new goalkeeper.
Spanish source AS reports that the Reds are among those interested in signing Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid amid concerns from the La Liga club regarding the Slovenian’s contract situation.

Currently tied to Atletico until 2021, Oblak has himself spoken about his contract situation, confirming he hasn’t spoken to the club about extending it beyond its existing expiry.
Renewing my contract? My current contract runs until 2021, but I haven’t spoken to the club about it. I’m focusing on my job out on the pitch; whatever happens will happen but that won’t depend on me alone
Should no agreement on a renewal be met, Atletico will be under increased pressure to sell the goalkeeper, who currently has a €100m release clause written into his current deal.
Arsenal and PSG have both stated their interest in signing Oblak should he become available, while Juventus also see the former Benfica star as a possible replacement for the retiring Gianluigi Buffon. Roma star Alisson is also on Liverpool’s radar.
