Salah and Firmino nominated for PFA award

Liverpool forwards Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have both been nominated for the February Player of the Month award after some fine performances from the duo last month, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Firmino has had an amazing campaign so far this season, netting 22 goals so far. This includes 13 in the Premier League.

Salah meanwhile has been brilliant this season and scored his 31st goal of the season in the recent game against West Ham.

Both of the players have been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month after a fine February for Liverpool, which saw the club move up to 3rd in the Premier League.

Four other Premier League stars have been nominated; Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Eden Hazard at Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross and the Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland despite his own goal last weekend against Leicester City.

The winner is announced on the 5th March.
