Real Madrid splashed £15m last summer on talented creative midfielder Dani Ceballos but the 21-year-old has struggled to make his mark at the Bernabeu this season, leading to reports suggesting he could be on his way in the summer.
It’s claimed by Spanish news outlet Marca, via talkSPORT, that Ceballos has pleaded with Real president Florentino Perez to allow him to complete a move away from the club in the summer, with Liverpool understood to be his preferred destination.

Liverpool see the former Real Betis standout as a potential Philippe Coutinho replacement but Calciomercato are reporting that Serie A pair Roma and Juventus are also in running to sign Ceballos if he’s allowed to leave Madrid.
Ceballos has been limited to just 19 appearances for Madrid so far this season, starting just twice in La Liga, netting two goals. Not the ideal return for the attacking midfielder who was named player of the tournament at the U21 European Championships last summer.
