Liverpool are reportedly facing competition for their transfer target from Inter Milan, Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to talkSPORT.
Kondogbia is on loan at Valencia from Inter for the season, but his impressive performances in Spain have earned him interest from some European giants.
The Reds are said to be looking at him as a potential summer buy, but Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the defensive midfielder.
However, when his loan at Valencia is finished and he travels back to Milan, it is believed that he may be staying in Italy as AS Roma have shown interest in keeping him in Serie A.

There are also rumours that he may go to his native France, as giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen on signing him, but he is not seen as much as a priority as he is to the aforementioned clubs.
Valencia do have an option to sign the player who has scored four goals for them already this season, in a deal worth about £20m, but the interest from elsewhere across Europe may halt that.
It is believed that Liverpool may try and sign him in the summer as a replacement for German midfielder Emre Can, who looks to be leaving Anfield this summer on a free transfer.
