Roberto Firmino has said that he does not mind who Liverpool get in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League, as per Sky Sports News.
Liverpool were the first English team to progress to the last eight of Europe’s elite competition with the 5-0 aggregate win against Porto, with all goals coming in the first leg in Portugal.
Manchester City are the only other English team to progress, with Tottenham Hotspur losing 2-1 to Juventus at Wembley. Chelsea and Manchester United have a chance to progress, both level against FC Barcelona and Sevilla respectively.
Real Madrid are the only other side already through to the quarter finals, with four more teams qualifying for that stage next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Roberto Firmino spoke to Sky Sports News after the 5-0 aggregate win, and said:
We feel we have played well against the top English clubs and shown we can beat them but we are not afraid of anyone in the draw.
We are not concerned who we get, we don’t mind. A top Spanish club? We are not afraid. I don’t think we have anything to fear from any side now.
We feel we can beat any side on our day, and we don’t mind who we get. I think we are a team who will cause problems to others.
We are a good team, we can play against the big Spanish teams, and we feel we can be a match for them. You have to play against the big teams.
