Chelsea youngster Isaac Christie-Davies is on the lookout for his next club and has spent time on trial at Liverpool.
The Reds took the England U17 international on trial earlier this season where he worked with the U23 side as they took a closer look at the midfielder ahead of a summer move.
Christie-Davies has been told by Chelsea that he will not see his contract renewed and will be officially released when his current deal ends in June, but Liverpool will face competition for his signature.
According to Football Oranje, Dutch side PEC Zwolle have taken the 20-year-old on trial themselves and plan to hold talks with the player regarding a summer switch from Chelsea to the Netherlands.
With his contract expiring in June, Christie-Davies is free to negotiate with overseas sides regarding a pre-contract agreement, while Liverpool must officially wait until May to hold similar talks and will be forced to pay a compensation fee.
The Reds recently signed Dominic Solanke from Chelsea on a free transfer and will be hoping any talks over a compensation fee would go smoother than the talks for Solanke.
