Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is set to remain in the squad under further assessment ahead of his sides match against Italy after an injury against Holland last night.

The youngster started just his second game for England but it was cut short in under 10 minutes making him a doubt for this coming Tuesday as England face a visit from Italy.
Gomez has performed well this season for both club and country and even earned a man of the match award on his full international debut.
He had only recently returned from another injury last weekend in the Reds win over Watford and has been dealt another setback.
He will now remain with England as he undergoes further assessment to discover the extent of his injury before a decision is made on whether he can feature against Italy.
