Jurgen Klopp has provided an injury update on defender Dejan Lovren, who was taken off against Bournemouth with seven minutes left on the clock.
The defender came off to be replaced by Ragnar Klavan, but Klopp confirmed it was too early to confirm what issue Lovren had more than he had a “knock”.
Klopp told liverpoolfc.com:
I didn’t see the knock. I would love if it would be because of a ‘knock’ [rather than] a strain or tear or whatever. I have no clue,” said Klopp.
He felt something but I didn’t speak to him afterwards, I only saw that he was limping.
“We made a change because we could make that change – we had a centre-half on the bench. Hopefully [it is] not too serious, of course, but I cannot say more now.
Liverpool completed a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield, with the trio of Firmino, Mane and Salah all netting for the Reds.
Klopp’s side will be hoping to continue their good form in the coming weeks, with a crucial Champions League semi final against Roma coming up for Liverpool.
