Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping his side can wrap up a new deal for defender Ragnar Klavan, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The defender’s deal comes to an end next season but the club are looking to see him extend his stay at Anfield after impressive performances in the side.
The Estonian defender is set to come back into the team for the visit of Stoke City this weekend, a match which is sandwiched between their Champions League clash with Roma.
He has been a very reliable option for the club since joining in 2016 making 51 appearances, despite being further down the pecking order at Anfield.

Injuries throughout the squad has seen Klopp’s squad depth tested recently and players like Klavan have played important roles throughout the season for the club who struggled for depth at times.
When asked about keeping the defender, Klopp hinted that a new deal is on the cards.
Yes of course. Fantastic player, really good footballer, he has all what you need. Of course I would but there are two sides to it. Life is not that easy. We treat the boys with all the respect that they deserve, but at the end the only thing a player really wants is to be in the line up.
