Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says he isn’t worried about 43-goal Mohamed Salah ahead of the Champions League final, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Egyptian winger has been crucial to the Reds in their journey to Kiev, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists in the European campaign thus far.
Despite Salah’s form, which has seen him named as a potential Ballon d’Or winner, Madrid captain Ramos says it is nothing he isn’t used to.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the Spaniard said:
We have seen what Salah can do this season, but he will just be one of eleven players we face against Liverpool. Throughout my career, I have faced the best forward players in the world – many of them who are considered among the greatest ever. For me, there is never a fear. A respect, yes, but never a fear.
Los Blancos are all too familiar with this situation, as they aim for their third straight Champions League title, but Ramos insists they still want it as much as before:
We are ready to defend our title for a second time — we won’t let it go easily.
