Rangers have named Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard as their new manager on a four year deal.
The job is Gerrard’s first professional management role, one he takes after turning down a deal to become the MK Dons manager last season.
He leaves his current position as under-18 coach at Liverpool and is set to take charge at Rangers ahead of their pre-season.

The Rangers job looks to be a tough one at present, with Gerrard taking over the club as they sit some way behind Celtic after recently suffering another loss to their bitter rivals.
Gerrard recently admitted that he was in talks with Rangers about their vaccant position and he was obviusly given the assuracnes he wanted as he accpeted the role.
Speaking about the appointment, Rangers chairman Dave King said:
We are delighted to confirm today that Steven Gerrard will become the next manager of Rangers. From the very beginning, talks have been extremely positive and we believe that Steven is the right man to drive Rangers forward. He was extremely impressive throughout our negotiations and we are convinced that he has the necessary knowledge and temperament to lead the Club to the success we all desire. This a special day for our Club, our fans and for Steven.
