Liverpool linked with Bordeaux star as attacking reinforcement

Liverpool have identified highly rated Bordeaux winger Malcom as a summer target with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looking to strengthen his attacking options.

The 21-year old Brazilian has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe this season having impressed in Ligue 1.

Manchester United were believed to have discussed a move with Bordeaux in January, while Tottenham and Arsenal are also monitoring his progress.

According to MailOnline, Malcom lines up alongside Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey and Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic as key targets for the Reds.

Malcom has scored 10 goals in 30 league starts this season, and is expected to cost around £40million this summer.

Malcom could be seen as an alternative to Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir, who has been heavily linked to the club in recent weeks. Earlier today, Fekir’s father Mohamed poured water on a potential move, saying;

Nabil in Liverpool, that’s wrong. I hear there are arrangements, stuff like that… I was surprised.

I can deny this information right now. It’s not true. Otherwise Nabil would have told me right away, we are very close.
