Southampton will miss out on bonus payments if Liverpool are to win the Champions League final on Saturday, according to The Times.
Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the final in Kiev will be littered with former Saints players, such as Virgil Van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Sadio Mane, Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana.

The South Coast side have negotiated many add-on clauses into the sales of these players, however, the bonus payments from Liverpool include appearance-related and final league position clauses, not ones for Champions League glory.
The Reds do have to pay out for Champions League qualification, after finishing fourth last season, but the clauses do not extend to winning the trophy itself.
The Southampton board will be kicking themselves on Saturday evening if Klopp’s side take home the trophy, as they will see it as money they’ve missed out on.
Saints need to spend this summer to keep them away from the relegation dog scrap they were caught up in last season, and Mark Hughes will be itching for additional funds to aid that.
