Liverpool linked with Yann Sommer
Jann Sommer is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a move to Liverpool, with the Borussia Monchengladbach stopper being touted with a move to Anfield by BILD.
The Swiss stopper played as Switzerland drew 1-1 with Brazil in their opening game of the 2018 World Cup.
Bild report that over €30 million if the Reds would want to sign him. Monchengladbach are in no rush to sell, and with Sommer under contract until 2021, the Reds could struggle to get a deal done quickly.
Sommer came through the FC Basel academy, and played with Mo Salah at the club. He then joined Monchengladbach from Basel as a replacement for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who joined Barcelona.
He has become the regular shot stopper for the German side since, making over 130 Bundesliga appearances to date.
Allison and Jan Oblak are still targets for Liverpool according to Bild, with Sommer becoming the third choice target if Liverpool fail to sign their main targets.
