Liverpool handed Strakosha transfer boost

Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Thomas Strakosha, with Lazio set to sign his replacement.

The Italian side a reportedly close to signing Olympiakos’ veteran goalkeeper Silvio Proto, with the Belgian joining Lazio on a permanent deal according to Calcio Mercato.

This opens up a potential switch for Strakosha, with a €30 million price tag being put on the Albanian.

Liverpool are reportedly not keen on signing Allisson, with the Brazilian’s asking price being set very high by Roma, with Lazio’s rivals demanding over €70 million for the goalkeeper.

Gianluigi Donnarumma also has about the same asking price, putting Liverpool out of the race to sign the Italian.

Therefore, a deal from Strakosha would be beneficial for the reds, meaning they can finally get a new keeper in and not have to break the back to sign him.

Liverpool are not the only ones interested in the Albanian however, with Bayer Leverkusen looking to replace the recently departed Bernd Leno with the Lazio keeper.
