Whilst Liverpool have been prepared to splash the cash in the last few transfer windows, they’ve also been keen to swoop when a potential bargain is available.
Joel Matip and Dominic Solanke both joined the Reds on free transfers from Champions League clubs, whilst the Reds were all too happy to pay smaller fees to relegated clubs for the likes of Andy Robertson and Xherdan Shaqiri.
If Liverpool want to continue exploiting situations in the market, then there could soon be another young star available for free.
Next summer, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot could be someone who the Reds look to sign as the French international has rejected a new contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

That means that the 23-year-old will be available on a free transfer next summer and his manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted that he’s not sure if the midfielder plans to stay at the club in the long term.
Rabiot grew up as a Liverpool fan and was once quoted as saying:
I would love to play in the Premier League…I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young.
Furthermore, the Frenchman used social media during Liverpool’s Champions League run to show how much he loves Anfield.

If Rabiot does hold firm on his decision to leave PSG next summer, which looks likely, then Liverpool are surely going to be in the mix to sign him and given his admiration for the club, they might just have a chance of getting him.
