Besiktas keen to not pay a fee for Karius loan deal

Besiktas remain interested in a deal to sign Loris Karius on loan from Liverpool, but they do not want to pay a fee for the German.

According to Turkish Football, Karius is one of the several goalkeepers that the club have earmarked to replace Fabri, who left for Fulham earlier this summer.

David Ospina is a target for the Turkish side, but the Colombian is also believed to be discussing a move to Napoli after falling out of favour at the Emirates.

Besiktas had hoped to sign Simon Mignolet from Liverpool, but they were priced out of a move for the Belgian.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be open to the move as it would present Karius the chance to play regular first-team football and rebuild some of the confidence he has lost over the summer.

The report claims that the German remains part of Klopp’s long-term plans at Anfield, despite his tricky summer.
