Robertson set for new long-term deal
Liverpool are set to hand defender Andy Robertson a new long-term contract with the club.
According to The Mirror, Robertson has impressed Liverpool with his performances since his arrival and he is set to be rewarded with a new deal.
The report claims that Liverpool are ready to double Robertson’s wages with his extended contract.
Robertson signed for Liverpool from Hull last summer for a deal thought to be worth in the region of £10m.
He played a pivotal role in the club reaching the Champions League final, as well as finishing fourth in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has already started this season in the same vein, as he set-up Mo Salah’s goal against West Ham last weekend.
He is expected to put pen to paper on the new deal next week, perhaps before Liverpool’s clash with Crystal Palace on Monday night.
