After another good weekend for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, which saw him claim the only goal in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Brighton, the forward has hit back at the Egyptian Football Association by recording a Facebook live video late on Sunday afternoon.
After an ongoing dispute, Salah concluded his Facebook live recording as he spoke out about his frustration at the Egyptian FA for spreading vicious rumours that he demands special treatment, that he has become too arrogant and that he doesn’t care for his country. This is five months after he scored a winning penalty in the last minute to send Egypt to only the World Cup, the first one they have competed in for 28 years.
Salah also responded via his Twitter account, stating:
It’s normal that a football federation seeks to solve the problems of its players so they can feel comfortable. But really, what I see is exactly the opposite. It’s not normal that my messages and my lawyer’s letters are ignored.
Despite all the madness, Salah has still retained his fantastic form for Liverpool and has already got two goals to his name in the Premier League. He is also likely to be called up for the national side’s next international, as they play African Cup of Nations qualifiers in September.
