Talking ahead of the Celtic FC Foundation charity match on September 8, Jurgen Klopp revealed that two of his current Reds side are always ‘glued’ to Celtic games when they’re on TV.
Klopp, who has overseen a perfect three from three start to the Premier League season, admitted that both Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson regularly watch the Hoops at Melwood. He said:
I have two members of my team at the moment who are always glued to the TV at our training ground when Celtic play, in Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson. Virgil is an ex-Celtic player, of course, but Robbo is just a massive, massive Celtic fan.

In fact, Klopp declared that even if Celtic are not on TV, Robertson in particular just cannot stop talking about his boyhood club.
In Robbo’s case, he talks constantly about it, even when you don’t ask, and all I hear is that it is a special club that has a lot of heart and soul.

The German will take charge of James Milner’s squad for the charity game with Brendan Rodgers managing Stilyan Petrov’s side in what should be a memorable occasion.
As well as two of his players knowing all about Celtic, Klopp himself is well aware of the connection between the two clubs.
Liverpool has so many close connections [with Celtic], not least at this moment that Brendan Rodgers is doing such a fantastic job as the manager. Kenny Dalglish likewise always tells me how special the connection is.
I know both clubs thrive on really positive emotion. I know both clubs have You’ll Never Walk Alone as an anthem – so I can’t wait to hear that at Celtic Park.
Kick off is at 2pm, with all the money raised going towards three different charities all helping to tackle cancer – Celtic FC Foundation, the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation and the James Milner Foundation.
