Liverpool and Manchester City have reportedly made contact with Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
According to reports in Italy from Calciomercato, both Premier League sides are keen to sign the player, despite suggestions that he is close to penning a new deal for the Serie A side.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are also said to be interested in the Polish international, while Chelsea were heavily linked throughout the summer.

Zielinski has been something of a long-term target for the Reds. He was heavily linked with a move to Anfield prior to joining Napoli and has been a player on their radar ever since.
The creative midfielder was subject to a bit-part role under Maurizio Sarri last season but remains very highly thought of at the club. Game time is likely to increase for the player this season, with Napoli stalwart Marek Hamsik reaching the latter stages of his career.
