Liverpool are set to confirm the signing of promising Barnet goalkeeper Kai McKenzie-Lyle.

We understand that the Reds have completed a deal to recruit the promising shot-stopper, who is already an established international for his native Guyana side.

McKenzie-Lyle has earned plaudits for his performances at youth level in recent years and it seems Liverpool have won the race for his signature.

The 20-year-old had enjoyed a trial period with Liverpool, with the club viewing him as a potentially useful addition to the academy ranks.

Liverpool have evidently seen enough from McKenzie-Lyle to secure his services, with the goalkeeper set to continue in between the sticks for the Reds’ youth team.
