Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Mohamed Salah has been left frustrated by his start to the new season.
Klopp, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, was quizzed on whether or not the Egyptian international was content with the way in which he has performed in the opening periods of the campaign. The German boss was concise in his answer.
Of course not. How could he be? It’s a normal situation. But now that’s what you have a manager for. We will talk about it.
Salah has found the net on three occasions in the Premier League so far this season but has struggled to show the same degree of ruthlessness in front of goal as he did last term.

This has prompted plenty of debate regarding his form, with the winger having been substituted by Klopp on Saturday in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
It’s easy for me because I don’t read what you write, maybe the boys do a bit more but that doesn’t make too much sense at the moment because you will all dissect (the issue) – a big nice cut and you will find pretty much nothing. That’s how it is, no problem whatsoever.
It’s all fine. As long as he is working like he works and gets into the situations that he gets in, I’m completely fine and everything will be okay.
Salah continued to threaten against the Blues but was unable to truly test Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Chelsea net, as plenty of his efforts on goal went astray.
Klopp will be desperate to help Salah return to his clinical ways as Liverpool prepare for what promises to be an entertaining evening in the Champions League against Napoli.
